Trends in Weddings May 2013 Fall and Winter

As we are in the midst of wedding season, we are seeing some new and exciting trends for fall and winter weddings.  Rainbow weddings are in again.  Put your bridesmaids in different color dresses and styles to fit each lady.  You can coordinate the bouquets to match each dress, or put the colors from each dress in a bouquet to be used by all.  Tie in your colors with pew bows in white, ivory or a color that compliments your wedding colors.

Fall weddings are using a lot of color.  Rich, dark purples paired with yellows, oranges and reds compliment the surrounding fall season. Sunflowers are especially popular for their size and brilliance.  Burlap flowers are very in for bridal bouquets  and the entire wedding party.  Burlap flowers come in a variety of roses, peonies, mums and daisies.

For outdoor weddings,  the bright colors   will show up amidst the changing colors.  For indoor weddings, bring in dried material in mixed table arrangements.  Don't be afraid to use different containers and arrangements for your tables.

Burlap decorations add a rustic look for your wedding decoration.  Use pew bows made of burlap for the church ceremony or on chairs for outdoor weddings.  Table runners and tie-ups for tablecloths. Burlap flower cones hang on chairs with ease.  Fill with dried and silk flowers.

Line your aisle outdoors with live field mums. These mums are bright and full.  Put them in your garden after your wedding and every time your mums bloom, you will think of your special day!

For winter weddings, we are seeing
your traditional red roses with evergreens and miniature pine cones.  All white flowers for bouquets with pale, ice blue dresses and stem wraps,  is a theme for a winter wonderland wedding.  Adding some crystal and rhinestones to your decorations,  will make your venue and bouquets shine like ice crystals on snow.  Extensive use of soft, white fabric in your ceremony or reception setting,  sets a warm and cozy atmosphere.  Add acolytes in the bottom of a cylinder vase with crystals.  Acolytes are little lights that are activated at the beginning of an event and last for up to 12 hours.  The light will shine through the crystals in the vase.  A single bloom in the top will complete the look.

The decorating themes for a winter or holiday wedding are endless, from vivid red and green to an all white, winter wonderland.

Add shiny tulle bow with rhinestone centers for pews, chairs, or tablecloth tie-ups.

At Shannonkristina, we specialize in realistic silk, true touch and dried materials for everlasting, keepsake bouquets and centerpieces.  Take the surprise out of your flower arrangements and bouquets for your wedding.  The "everlasting" bouquets are reasonably priced and you won't have to worry about your flowers wilting or not lasting through your wedding and reception.  At the end of the wedding, the flowers make nice, keepsake gifts for friends and relatives to remember your wedding.  Use your bridal bouquet for your wedding portrait and have the same flowers in the portrait that you will carry at your wedding.  This eliminates the double cost for a bouquet for the portrait and another for your wedding.  Explore the quality and the look of everlastings to see how realistic they are.  Choose pew bows or flower cones to match your theme and decorate your ceremony venue.
